El Sueno de Avila, means "the dream of Avila". Indeed this is a dreamy home just steps from the warm sand and surf. El Sueno de Avila has 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, 2-car garage, 3 off-street parking spots, an outdoor shower and an expansive patio to enjoy outdoor living at its finest.

An accordion door seamlessly blends the expansive indoor/outdoor living areas to enjoy Avila’s tempered climate. The open-concept living space boasts expansive windows to soak up the stunning ocean views, high ceilings, wainscoting, and hand-hewn chiseled travertine floors.

The dream kitchen features granite and copper counters, custom cabinetry, walk-in pantry and antique copper sink and accents. The William-Sonoma like kitchen is well inventoried for a chef to whip up taste morsels.

The first level has 2 guest suites with king beds, shared bath, built-in office space, laundry room and powder room. The hand painted stairwell leads you to a serene master ensuite with ocean-view balcony. The spacious ensuite is complete with an oversized jetted tub, walk-in shower, dual vanities and walk-in closet.

Wine tasting, biking and hiking trails, beach fun, excellent restaurants and coffee shops are all within just minutes of walking. A great park for kids with an adjoining basketball court is also close. The fall is a great time to visit for apple picking and tasting.

Day excursions to Hearst Castle or Big Sur are very doable, and will expose you to some of California's most stunning cliffs and secret beaches. Morro Bay, Cambria and San Simeon (where the elephant seals live) are all fun to explore.

It's just south of San Luis Obispo (SLO was voted one of the top 5 happiest cities) and nearby dozens of vineyards. SLO has the largest farmers market in California every Thursday night of the year, and Avila Beach has a lovely one each Friday night of the summer. Great shopping is all around as well as yummy seafood and all types of restaurants for every taste. If you like antiques, Arroyo Grande will delight you.

Kayaking in Shell Beach is a thrill as you paddle through caves and along the cliffs. Or, you may want to hike up Bishop's Peak or go whale watching, or deep sea fishing out of Morro Bay or San Luis Bay (near Avila Beach). Several public golf courses are nearby.

Or, you may want to just grab the beach wagon, beach chairs, towels and umbrella and walk down to the beach and read a good book. The options are really endless.

All of your basics will be provided (including beach gear). If you're renting for a week and would like a mid week cleaning that can be arranged upon request. We also have connections with a great home chef if you'd enjoy some in home gourmet food.

    We were 3 couples who frequent Seven Sisters Vacation Rentals properties often. The pictures only represent a glimpse of the home features and amenities. Ocean views from the large front patio, just 3 min walk to the beach and downtown. Each bedroom is large with comfortable beds and soft linens. The home is ideal for 3 couples or a family. Each couple had large suites and plenty of privacy. We were treated with a Traeger BBQ (not often found in a rental) so opted to BBQ in each evening. The kitchen was stocked like a chef's William Sonoma culinary shop. One morning we made waffles (yes, there is a waffle maker too). Beach gear and towels were included (and very clean). Like other Seven Sister properties the housecleaning and organization is immaculate and guest concierge over the top. Overall, this home is BETTER THAN A FIVE STAR rating.
